Level 4 Advanced Diploma
Equivalent to Year 1 or Years 1–2 of an undergraduate degree.
Our Advanced Diploma qualification allows international students to join Year 2 of an undergraduate degree in the 3-year education system, or Year 3 in the 4-year education system.
Delivered and assessed at RFQ Level 4, it equips non-native English speakers with the academic knowledge, English language skills and cultural understanding for global undergraduate success.
The study route
Successful Advanced Diploma students will demonstrate:
- broad subject-specific knowledge, equivalent to the first 1–2 years of undergraduate study (depending on the education system)
- the skills, confidence and independence required for successful transition to Year 2 or 3 of their degree
- digital literacy, including responsible and ethical use of AI in academic and professional settings
- transferrable skills such as critical thinking, communication, problem solving and teamwork
- awareness of interculturality, ethical reasoning, sustainability and corporate responsibilityenhanced personal development.
After completing their qualification and achieving the required grades, students can progress to their undergraduate degree at a choice of universities worldwide.

Each module is worth 20 credits. Students must earn at least 120 credits across all modules.
Structure
The typical duration is one academic year (8–9 months), delivered over 3 terms or 2 semesters. Intensive or extended options may also be offered.
Delivery method
INTO Qualifications are usually delivered via in-person programs with face-to-face teaching. However, online delivery may be considered where appropriate.
Assessment
All assessments are conducted in person. Our methods are designed to balance secure testing of knowledge and skills with authentic coursework tasks that reflect professional practice.
